New World

According to "Antarctic lack's clue to alien life", Paul Rincon reports that a specie of bugs is found in extreme conditions such as salt, darkness, low temperature, no oxygen, and separation from our world more than 2800 years.

When technologies and science go together, we will hear various new discoveries. Many extreme creatures are found in extreme atmosphere. They might be not strangers. There might be there before us. We, human, might be intruders who invade their world. Who know?

Because of Weights

According to "Delta and KLM sued over 'too fat to fly' Vilma Soltesz", BBC NEWS reports that Vilma Soltesz who was overweight was refused to fly;however, she died because she refused to be treated kidney disease from local doctor while on her holiday. After she died, her husband, Janos, sued two airlines; Delta and KLM in his lose because his wife paid for two-seat tickets but they did not allow her to fly.

I chose this article because of envy. It is not related with the article. It is because of my colleague who got a scholarship from my organization. He was overweight while I was working there. That is the only one problem that causes him can not fly to study aboard. In this year, I heard that he has attempted to burn his calories and he is able to succeed it. As a result, next year, he will fly to study aboard. It is really jealous, isn't it?

The Truth after 8 Years

I don’t know why Palestinians want to find the truth after he was death for 8 years.

The BBC Middle East article “Yasser Arafat's remains exhumed in murder inquiry” reported that many Palestinians and Arafat’s widow, Suha, have suspected the truth of Arafat’s death after he passed away 8 years ago. They believed his death might cause by poisoning assault. The experts exhumed some example of his remained from his tomb to investigate the cause of the death by sent multination experts which are Swiss, French and Russian the example of his body to find the truth.

In my point of view, I didn’t have any idea for this topic, but I strongly belief that Palestinians might have other reasons behind the truth.

I guessed that they might need some causes to lead Palestinian people fighting with Israeli because some of them belief that Yasser Arafat was poisoned by Israeli.

Cluster Bombs Landed On Playground.

There is nothing worth more than life.

According to “Syria cluster bomb attack 'kills 10 children'” article, the journalists reported the tragedy which 10 children were killed by cluster bomb on which were dropped the playground beside the village, and that the Syria government was convicted by an opposition activist network that they ordered the airstrike to attack rebel headquarters by using the cluster bombs.

In my point of view, there was very sad to hear this news and I would criticize the Syria government to use the cluster bomb on the civil war which this weapon will contain small bombs, and releases them in the air. After the small bombs are released, they will be erupted above the target areas. Therefore, the constructions might demolish and hundreds people might dead or get serious wound, if the cluster bombs land on a village.

Poor Dogs in Russia

Do you have any pets? I do have one smart, lovely dog. I think pet dogs are very popular among people because it is believed that dogs are the best loyalty friends.

The BBC News Europe article “Mystery dog deaths anger Russians” reports that there are a plenty of dogs have been mortally poisoned by unknown hunters in Russia recently.

The article reminds me of Wellington, a dead puddle dog in the book that we read, The curious incident. They have something in common. First, they are mysterious killed. Also, the causes of death are investigated by ordinary people not by state officers. However, they are different in some respects. First of all, Wellington is killed with the fork. While, the dogs in Russia are poisoned. Second, the former's death is investigated by the neighbor, Christopher Boone. Whereas the latter's death are done by their owners.

According to the article, there are two unproved viewpoints why the dogs are killed. First, it might be a hobby for dog hunters. Second, it might be a method to control a large number of dog population by the government. I personally think that the dogs should not be killed no matter what reason behind it is. As living creatures, they have rights to lead their lives as long as they do not violate the laws and harm others. We cannot judge who are supposed to be dead and give them deaths. Even though there are some people argue that the animals are frequently dangerous to humans. We should find other effective ways to deal with this problem rather than giving them deaths.

It also reminds me of stray dogs that used to be possessed, but for some reasons they are abandoned. For example, they are injured and their owners do not want to pay for their medical treatments. Their owners have some financial difficulties; therefore, the owners cannot afford the food and other stuff could be another reason. Also, the owners are just bored of them because they treat the dogs as fashionable furniture.

My little lovely puppy also pops up to my mind. He was died because of overdosed drugs. I remember that he was very sick, so I took him to the hospital and then he was injected medicine into his vein for four times. I hoped that he would be gradually become better; however, unexpectedly the day after he passed away. This was one of my mournful days.

Another Story about Mental Illness

According to "'Ice cream' murder woman gets life sentence in Austria", BBC News reports that Estibaliz Carranza who killed two men; her ex-husband and her lover in 2008 and 2010 respectively and buried those bodies in concrete in her ice cream shop has been sentenced to life in prison although she has suffered from a personality disorder as well as serious mental abnormalities.

This news remind me the story we read this week and I wish it would not happen in reality, just in books or films.

Ayrton Senna and Honda Engine

According to “Formula 1's greatest drivers. Number 1: Ayrton Senna”, Ayrton Senna got 41 wins, 65 pole positions and 3 WDC (Formula One World Drivers' Championship). He passed away by racing accident in 1994, and then Legendary Formula 1 driver Senna stayed in our head.

I think that combination of Senna and Honda engine is the strongest in Formula One history. Senna got 3 WDC with Honda engine, and he loved Honda engine very much. When Honda announced it will withdraw from Formula One racing, he wiped his streaming eyes on his shirt sleeve, and he expressed his appreciation to Honda. I cannot forget this scene. I’m sure that Senna was the most loved Formula One driver in Japan.

A Discharge of Typewriters in the UK

Have you ever used a typewriter? If so, you must be very old.

The BBC News UK article “UK's 'last typewriter' produced” reports that the last machine has been donated to London’s Science Museum by a manufacturer Brother due to a decreasing demand in the UK. This could be the end of typewriter manufacture in the UK.

Before a computer is widely used, a typewriter is very practical equipment which facilitates us to do some kind of typing neatly. It is a common tool in every office. However, it is now almost completely replaced with computer. We hardly see any one use it at the present. We still find it useful in a piece of work that want remind us to the past.

I think it is a good idea to house the unused typewriter at the museum because there may be several people do not know what a typewriter looks like. Some people who are not born during the popular period of typewriters rarely have a chance to see them. Therefore, keeping them in the museum makes people realize the evolution of typewriters.

Another Story of Chocolate

According to Charlotte Pritcharch in "Does chocolate make you clever?", he says that Franz Messerli reports that in some studies cocoa has improved mental and brain function in elderly patients, rats and snails, and there is a significant relationship which is high consuming chocolates more Nobel Prize winners such as Switzerland; however, Sweden shows abnormal which is high consuming chocolates as almost as Switzerland fewer the winners.

Consequently, Thai as me should start to eat more chocolate because it might lead me to win the Nobel Prize. It is extremely good idea. However, there are many problems when eating large amount of it. I might suffer from acne or gain weight.

Making Peace Process on Social Medias

As Twitter war rages, #stoptheterror Instagrams aim to wage peace

CNN’s articleAs Twitter war rages, #stoptheterror Instagrams aim to wage peace reported that one Israeli man, Ido Simyoni, decided to take matters to social media in order to get a cease-fire between Israel and militants in Gaza. He decided to start a project by asking people to post their images on photo-sharing service of Instagram application and tag them #stoptheterror. People who wanted to join this project have to write down the word “Stop” or “Stop the terror” on their hand and take the photo. More than 5,000 photos were posted on the Instagram since last Monday.

According to my point of view, this story is very interesting for me. I think that there are many ways for us to make peace happen. We just use social media in the right way. It’s a great thing that everyone can do in order to help other people who suffer from the violence from the civil war.

To Influence Other's style

According to Robin Banerji in "Can you shape your children's taste in music?", he states that Jeremy Summerly said that naturally parents desire their children to imitate any of them; however, children usually choose different things from their parent's desires and he support this idea by showing almost the same experience which has the same result from his parental interviewees such as Tom Hodgkins, Jalian Lloy, Jem Finer and others.

Actually, I love many songs which my parents love. Consequently, I disagree with this article strongly. Personally, different things which children chose may influence from modern trend, the media, and even friends.

Coke at fixed price for 70 years

According to "Why Coke Cost A Nickle For 70 Years", a bottle of Coca-Cola had been cost at  a nickel, 5 cents, for 70 years since 1886 because of at least 2 reason: advertisement of price and vending machine. The giant advertising boards of 5-cents coke were located everywhere in order to aware every people that they can buy coke at 5-cents because its president had just got a fixed price for selling syrub, so keeping a low price in retails would make people buy more amount of coke then he got more money. Moreover, old vending machine required one coins for a piece; therefore, if price was increased to 10 cents, it would seem too much. Although, price of coke was fixed for a long time, it helps Coke be popular today.

In my opinion, although all companys want to increase price of product, it is difficult to do because of a improtant factor that is their competitors. If competitors keep selling at constant price while your company increases price of procduct without increasing in quality or maybe increase, most customers who are very concernd about price may switch to other bands so you will not get any advantages from this action instead you will still be old price. For example, Lay, potato crisp, used to raise price from 5 bahts to 6 bahts, just a few rise, after about 1 year it return to set price at 5 baht by reducing a quantity instead.

Nose cell transplant enables paralysed dogs to walk

According to BBC news reported that Scientist have reversed paralysis in dogs after injecting them with cells grown from the lining of their nose. One of the dogs named Jasper, a 10-years old dachshund took part in this experiment. Before the treatment his back legs were useless and after the treatment he became able to walk again. Professor Robin Franklin, a regeneration biologist at the Wellcome Trust-MRC Stem Cell Institute and report co-author, said "Our findings are extremely exciting because they show for the first time that transplanting these types of cell into a severely damaged spinal cord can bring about significant improvement."

In my opinion, this experiment is a crucial discover in science which will be more useful in the future. The technique would be able to apply with human and help a lot of patients who facing a problem with their movement.

The Syrian Conflict through Children’s Eyes

CNN’s article “The Syrian conflict through children’s eyes” by Lauren Russell reports that 350,000 Syrian civilians are seeking shelters in their neighboring countries such as Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan. For example, there are 90,000 Syrian refugees stay in Lebanon. Most of the refugees are under 18 years old. The children are suffering from the war. When teaching art class at school in Lebanon’s refugee camp, the Syrian children don’t paint pictures of flowers and teddy bears. They are painting some of the last unforgettable images they saw in the hometowns that they were forced to abandon like bodies. Nowadays, they don’t talk about which side they are on, and teachers say only that they hope for peace in the country, not for victory by one side or the other. Everyone would like to go back to Syria as soon as possible.

According to my point of view, this story is very important for us to think about the effects of civil war. Nowadays in Thailand, we have to face with many political conflicts and it forces us to make a choice which side do we believe in. I think that we should carefully reconsider about it because somebody wants to use it as a tool for his or her own conflict of interests.

More Equal

Bethany Bell reports in "The shock of the (male) nude" that naked male statues exhibited at the Leopold museum in Vienna because Tobians Natter, the director of the museum, totally supported them and his reasons are to keep some previous cultures, to more modern works and to more diverse exhibition. It is said that Eva Kernauer, art historian from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, analysed this exhibition that male nudes generally exist as female nudes but there are some differences in depiction; consequently, she tended to support this idea as the museum direct.

According to this news, male nudes have been exist for a long time; however, personally, it is not because of the simplicity in society. It is because of masculinity; in other words, men have been more important and have been admired from majority. Today, it exists although it's power has been gradually decreasing. That is the reasons why there are mostly female nudes exhibition; it has been believed that women are entertaining. In addition, it might be because most of artists who work with this kind of art are masculine.

James Bond’s mission in real world

According to “James Bond star Daniel Craig visits Camp Bastion troops” article, the UK troops who are at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan were surprised by James Bond coming to visit before they prepared to watch the latest of 007 film (Skyfall).

That was a good way to serve the country which super starts can encourage their real heroes who served their country in overseas and the soldiers were very impressive and appreciated it very much.  Although this time is an actor, many actresses usually came to visit their troops outside their country during the second world war.

Useful or Useless

Technology plays a significantly role in our daily lives. It facilitates us to have more convenient and better lives than before; however, it is a double-edged sword.

The BBC News Education and Family article “Costly hi-tech kit lies unused in schools, says study” reports that an expensive digital technology supporting education is not frequently used to the best of its full capacity due to lacking knowledge of teachers.

I think that the proverb “Never cast your pearls before swine” best fit to this situation. If you give someone something and he does not know how to use it or ever what it is, the thing will be useless for him. As a result, we need to evaluate the receiver whether he deserves it or not in order to make it useful. We should give to a person who notices its value so that he will use it wisely. In order to respond to this problem, they need to provide training to the teachers as well as children. As the technology has been growing rapidly, training the users and developing technology should be improved side-by-side. Improving one can contribute to the advancement of another.

Also, I think that this situation could apply to job recruitment. The company should give its employees the suitable positions as they say that “Put the right man on the right job”. If the company assigns its employees to the positions that fit them, they will deem the task valuable and make efforts to the jobs they assigned. Consequently, the company will run its operation smoothly.

Anti-unature

According to "French protests against gay marriage bill", BBC reports that there are more than 70 thousand French including Catholic group and other backers of traditional family rights have protested against same-sex marriage law which President Francois Hollande promised to change the law and the parliament will be debate in January. It also says that the Pink shirt protesters in Paris gave the reasons why they have opposed that unsuitable law are members in family should contain mother, father, and children and same-sex marriage is not nature.

It is difficult to judge that which one is acceptable and this is the reason why our society are separated obviously into two sides which one is the opponent and another is the supporter. In Thailand, although the same-sex marriage has not approved  yet, there are some argument about this kind of marriage. It might be because Thais mostly are Buddhists,  numerous distinctions are peacefully exist over the country.
Personally, same-sex marriage might increasingly shake the balance of the world population;however, it is their rights to do anything they love and it does not step across other's rights.

The Online War in Gaza.

According to “Anonymous hacker group attacks Israeli websites” article, many Israeli websites were attacked and defaced by Anonymous hacker group during their operation (the OpIsrael campaign). The group said they wanted to warn the Israeli government not to cut off the telecom and urged it to end military operations in Gaza. Moreover, the group published the detailing information of alternative ways for them to communicate if net and other telecommunication links were cut

In my opinion, I thought this hacker group should not be involve with the situation in Gaza city by supporting one of both countries and attacking other side because they did not own by any government and they had multi-nation people in their group, so they should use their abilities to do good things or been the volunteers  , such as, blood donation, more than being potato sited at the front of computer. There are many ideas to insist their thoughts; for example, hacking the Israeli’ website; however, they should to use the right as they have and they should care about the right of other people who are surrounding them.

Christopher's normality

I chose this article because we obsess about mental illness especially about Christopher' syndrome.

According to "Asperger syndrome", Dr. Trisha Macnair describes that  a person who suffer from Asperger syndrome will be trouble in three major difficulties which are communication;judging and understanding other's body language, feeling and interest, social skills;obsessing with some particular things and misunderstanding in non verbal language causing to isolate from societies, and imagination;in other words, this patients are good in math and history but struggle in philosophy, religious education and creative arts. Dr. Macnair also states that although there are three main treatments such as behavioural therapy, appropriate specialist education and social skill training, the most important thing for treating is earlier diagnosis.

It is wondering that if Christopher is real,  he could live with his friends now. In this article, Dr. Macnair mention that if these patients are older to be aware  their abnormality, their condition will be worse. At least, we knew that if Christopher is trained social skills and taught appropriate specialist education, he could spend his rest life peacefully.

Mos Burger, McDonald's and Burger King

The BBC News Business “Burger King to open in South Africa” reports that it is going to open first Burger King in South Africa early next year. Rival McDonald's has been selling in South Africa since 1995, and there are 165 shops. The company already succeeds very much there, and gets big profit.

I think Burger King succeed as same as McDonald's. It is more delicious than McDonald's; however, the price is a little expensive, so I’m worried about it. Anyway, Burger King closured at one time in Japan because of not popular, but now it has reopened in Japan. Even so, the number of stores is a little. Among my Japanese friends, we can eat hamburgers at a low price at McDonald's, but the tastes are Okay, and we can eat delicious hamburgers at Mos Burger, but the prices are a little expensive. We think that the taste and the price of Burger King are between McDonald's and Mos Burger. In my opinion, Mos Burger is the best hamburger’s shop because the taste fits me. I hope that the company opens the shop at The Mall Bangkap because of near my apartment.

Nanny indicted on murder charges inchildren's deaths

CNN’s article “Nanny indicted on murder charges inchildren's deaths” reported that Yoselyn Ortega who is a nanny of Krim family was arrested, because she killed 2 young children whom she took after for 2 years with the kitchen knife. Nobody knew why she wanted to kill the boys. The Krim family treated her so well like she was their family member. After doing the crime, the policemen send her to Weill Cornell Medical Center under police watch. So she has been recovering. Nevertheless, she has to be charge with the murders of the boys
According to my point of view, this story is very important for someone who has a nanny at his home. Nowadays in Thailand, many parents have to hire a nanny for look after their children when they go out for working. I think that we cannot easily rely on someone who is not our family or friend to take care of our children. We should send our sons or daughters to some credible nurseries during a day time instead of hire someone whom we don’t know.

Afghan Buddha statues in peril

A group of about 100 monks and Buddhists called on the United Nations and Unesco yesterday to help save the remains of ancient Buddha sculptures threatened by a copper mining project in Afghanistan. The group, led by the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY), made the call during a brief rally in front of the UN building on Ratchadamnoen Road in Bangkok before handing their petition to Unesco officials on Sukhumvit Road.

Without the intervention of the UN and Unesco to suspend the mining project, the ancient remains of Buddha statues at Mes Aynak would perish, the protesters said during their rally. Mes Aynak (little copper well) is a site located 40km southeast of the capital Kabul, in a barren region of Logar province. The site contains the world's second-largest copper deposits, as well as the remains of an ancient settlement with over 200 Buddha statues, stupas and a 250-rai monastery complex. It is also considered a major transit route for insurgents coming from Pakistan.

The mining project is for "an open-pit mine, covering an area of 6,000 rai", said Pornchai Pinyapong, the WFBY chief. "The remains will be completely wiped out of human history just for commercial gain." A Chinese government-owned company, China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC), which holds a 30-year mining concession from Kabul, is scheduled to begin demolishing the ancient site next month. "The archaeological site is a priceless World Heritage Site for Buddhists and mankind. It is located along the Silk Road, so it must be preserved for our next generation," Mr Pornchai said.

The ancient ruins at Mes Aynak would suffer the same fate as the giant Buddha statues at Bamiyan, which were destroyed by the Taliban more than 10 years ago, he said. The protesters called on the UN and Unesco to negotiate with the Afghan government and the Chinese firm to suspend the demolition plan and seek ways to preserve the site. The company can show corporate social responsibility by protecting and preserving that area, Mr Pornchai said. "The ancient ruins should be registered on the list of Endangered sites and the World Heritage sites of Unesco to protect them from destruction," he said. More than 100,000 signatures will be sent to Unesco and another 100,000 signatures will be forwarded to the president of Afghanistan requesting the project be delayed.

As of Oct 30, some 200,000 people had signed on in support of the campaign and the number is climbing. The campaign to save the Mes Aynak ruins was initiated by Nadia Tarzi, president of the Association for the Protection of Afghan Archaeology, to collect the names of Buddhists worldwide. Rev Jyotisar, a Bangladeshi monk, joined the rally with the hope of raising public awareness about the importance of the site. "I do not know how they can do such a thing," he said. "We need to be united to preserve Mes Aynak." Pawena Witangplum, a second-year student from Ramkhamhaeng University, said that it was the duty of Buddhists to help protect Buddhism and its culture.

summary:

In my opinion Afghanistan Government should not be complacent our demanding cause they should do what is reasonable in the destruction of the ancient worship of other religions are respected and construction to mining. Buddhists do not want to see what they have to respect the old tumble-down. Buddhists have done the right thing to protect our loved ones because we would not want to see the religious's sculpture must be destroyed. Mes Aynak's should not be destroyed because it is a UNESCO world heritage and traditional communities, with more than 200 Buddha statues, pagodas and monastery complex. We should all rise up and fight for every organization that is responsible for this project.

Good or Bad News About Vegetative Stage

According to Fergus Walsh in "Vegetative patient Scott Routley says 'I'm not in pain' ", a Canadian man who have been treated like in a vegetative state for 12 years, after a car accident where he suffered a severe brain injury, showed been able to tell scientists that he is not in any pain. Often, vegetative patients that get to emerge from a coma, get into a condition where they have periods awake, with their eyes open, but without perception of themselves or the outside world. It was the first time that a severely brain-injured patient has been able to answer Yes/No questions clinically relevant to their care. For the future, the doctors expect could ask to the patients what could be done to improve their quality of life; it could be simple things like entertaiment or the times of day to be washed and be fed.

After I read this, I felt two different feelings about it. The vegetative stage used to be seen like a stage where the patient cannot see, cannot listen, cannot talk, cannot think... a unconscious stage. And, thinking like that, the patient doesn't suffer, because he/she cannot understand what is happening. But now, with the patients answering yes/no questions, and showing us that they can understand what is going on, it's means that they really suffer with the conditions that they are living. So, after read this, I was very happy to see progress in the medicine, what can help patients to improve their quality of life, but in the other hand, I was sad to know that this kind of patient can live more than 10 years, like that cannadian, suffering without communicating with the others.

Sleepless Nights: How to Help with Insomnia

Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates’ article “Sleepless Nights: How to Help with Insomnia” by Dr. Jonathan Harland reports that a person who has difficulty in falling asleep or experiences poor sleep, can has better night by his instructions. First, they must try to do everything possible to reserve their evenings for relaxation in order to get a good night sleep. Second, they have to maintain their consistent sleep schedule because it is so important. Finally, they should not eat too much food and avoid some alcohol before going to bed.

According to my point of view, this article is very helpful for someone who suffers from their sleeplessness. I think his suggestion is logical. And it might be greater to add something about regular exercise in the morning or afternoon. I think that helps me a lot in my daily life.

The key thief

According to "Intruder breaks in and steals Tower of London keys", it is reported that the key set of Tower of London, which is for restaurant, conference room and internal lock in to the drawbridge,  was stolen and now the new keys are replaced; although the spokenwoman for the Historic Royal Palace guarantees that the stolen keys could not be let anyone go inside the Tower.

I chose this article because I like picture of Tower of London in the news. It looks unique and ancient as it brings us to 16 century. It is wondering whether the place as Tower of London has any spirit.
However, the spokenwoman should be careful as much as possible because today world is developed by human technology. Thief as us might improve their skills and equipment to serve their job more convenient. Or the thief might use the old technique like dig the ground to connect where they want. Who know?

A soon to be world’s largest oil producer

Undoubtedly oil plays an essential role in the world’s economy nowadays. The oil can be used as a natural resource to drive an engine and also used as an investment. An increasing number of populations contribute to a demanding in oil consumption. Therefore, this raises concern about the depletion of the finite reserve of oil as it takes hundreds years to extract oil from underground.

The BBC News Business article “US to become 'world's biggest oil producer’” reports that an advance in the US of extraction oil from shale rock gives hope about the finite natural resources to the US citizen. International Energy Agency (IEA) expects that the US will depend on its own energy resource by around 2035. However, this new discovery of the oil source makes some people worry about a natural disaster, which results from drilling oil under the ground, and political issue as the US may less concern about the Middle East, who is the major oil producer at the moment.

As a fast-growing number of world’s population, the natural resources including oil are forecasted to be acceleratedly depleted. There may not be a sufficient resource remained by the end of this century. Therefore, people try to find an alternative source to solve this problem. However, I personally think that the best way to cope with an energy concerned issue is to stimulate people’s awareness of an over consumption of the natural resources. It takes a little bit amount of time for man to use up natural resources, but it takes centuries for the nature to reproduce them. I do believe that we can survive without consuming too many resources as we have done these days. As we can see in the traditional way of life during an ancient time, the ancestor can adapt themselves to the nature and live with the nature by not using oil, gas, and other resources that we just discovered recently.

Doctor biased against fat people.

Doctors who have negative perceptions of overweight people tend to treat patient not appropriate.
Researchers Janic Sabin,an assistant professor at the university of Washington told that physicians were not likely to be aware of their negative bias and it could affect the treatment.
Sabin and her colleagues tested 360,000 participants and 2284 doctors by using computer test.
They found that male doctors were more biased against fat people than female doctors.
In Australia, the number of overweight people has doubled in 20 years. It reached to 14 million people.

----------------------------------------------------
According to the article,I would suggest other people that if they do have problem about overweight, they should visit an overweight doctor or female doctor in order to receive better treatment.
On the other hand,it is very hard to judge that  doctors in another countries will be biased on overweight people because the study did not mention that they tested perception of doctors around the world.Maybe it is true only in USA.Therefore, patients will be the only person who have to take care themselves by changing doctor if they not feel comfortable with.

The truth from exist chief of american spy agency.

In the present time, none cannot declined that the most popular american news is The Petraeus affair because if you watched on each news website, they usually reported this news at the front pages.

In “The Petraeus affair: A lot more than sex” article, the news reported that in case of the Petraeus affair, it might has something happened more serious than sex activity. The Congressman and FBI agency suspected that some of national intelligence might be leaked because of the Broadwell’s comment in a speech last month at the University of Denver; however, they still need investigation to find out more evidence.

In my opinion, I believed that the ex-chief of CIA who is General Petraeus, might involve with his affair, but he used to be a soldier for many years; therefore, he should know the importance of the national intelligence and he has a duty to protect it from anyone who does not have an any security clearance to know intelligence even though his couples.

Moreover, resignation from his position is a good thing to do it before he can or cannot proof his innocence. It represents his responsibility that he has, but it did not proof himself from his charges. He still has a long scheduled appointment to testify; however, if he were an innocent person and he able to rid his charges out, he will get more honors from his fealty said the truth.

Big deal

In “Delays Appear In South Korea’s Big Military Decisions” article, they reported that South Koreas military and government might not meet the ambitious goal to spend a huge money about $12 billion on new weapons and equipment before the end of President Lee Myung-bak’s term. The majority of this shopping list intends to buy the new fighter planes and a set of new attack helicopters and they eliminate allegations of wrongdoing or unfairness by include a special panel of people from 10 ministries and agencies to keep an eye on the purchase process.

In the fighter plane’s purchase process, the procurement agency had fourth rounds of technical negotiations that included the details about the planes, parts and service contracts and three bidders joined in this purchase by sending their test-fly fighter plane into South Korean Air Force’s testing processes; however, one of them was not tested because it only has one seat and they didn’t have enough time to train the Korean pilots fly on the new fighter plane.

In my opinion, if the government controls the process of purchase clearly and fairly, they usually shall get good products in the cheapest prices. The bidder companies usually try to do anything offered the best choice, such as, discounting, adding. On the other hand, if the government does have a clean fair bid process, they might lose their money wastefully and get the ordinary or wasteful items in the high prices; for example, GT200 devices which Thai military and government had bought it and had believed this appliance able to function well for many years ago before they realized the truth. I thought that the conspiracy in military and government got the huge corrupt money from the bad companies.

fifty-fifty?

Do you like music? If you like it, what do you think about classical music?

According to “Classical CD for newborns to inspire a love of music”, the classical CD which recorded by The Royal Scottish National Orchestra will be distributed to every new-born infant in Scotland to make them interested in music.

I think it is interesting and nice project. I’ve also heard that listening to classical music has a good effect on an unborn, good for your mental health and having a positive impact on young children as article says. But do you think that too much can be sometimes counterproductive? In my case, I didn’t like western classical music when I was a child, because my parents loved to listen to it. I don’t know what I thought about it when I was a newborn, but at least I’m not interesting it since I can remember. They always listened to music in my house, in the car and in a concert. Moreover, they let me to learn the piano, so I can’t escape from the classical music. Fortunately, thanks to have been connected with music for long time, I like to listen to music, included classic know. But this is my case. I think it is gambling whether children love to music or not.

The REM Revolution.

"The REM Revolution" from Scientific American, tells the revolution of dream theory which was in 1953.
Nathaniel Kleitman of the University of Chicago and student assistant in his sleep laboratory, Eugene Aserinsky,
They studied the eyes movement and from the test subject they found that during overnight sleep, they had four to six periods of eye twitching and named this phase "Rapid Eye Movement (REM)". Kleitman discovered the brain was extremely active during the REM phrase and the muscles were practically flaccid during REM sleep.
The duo began waking their subjects during the high point of REM sleep and asking them if they had been dreaming. The result showed from 80 to 95 percent had a dream. Also, REM sleep occurred in almost all mammals not just only human.

As we can see there are many theory about why we dream, Scientist put their afford to discover the properly explanation of why we dream. Personally, I've never pay attention on my dream at all and rarely remember it.
However, when I've learn about this session, it turns me to reconsider my dream whether it have a meaning? and why I dreamed. According the all the theories I read, I appreciate to all research that scientist work which even can help people who suffering from their dream.

LCD screen and keyboard on Mastercard

In today’s world, technology facilitates us to do many things in our daily lives. It helps us to do a simple thing like switching a TV channel by using a remote control to a difficult thing like processing some formulas. It makes us to lead our lives easily, quickly, and efficiently.

The BBC Technology article “New Mastercard has LCD screen and keyboard” reports that Mastercard and Standard Chartered Bank collaborated in launching a new mastercard having LCD screen and keyboard, which is used to create one-time password, in Singapore. However, it will be available from January 2013 before distributing globally. It is regarded as more secure than the existing card. In the future, the card will be developed to show basic information such as credit limit, credit balance, and cumulative point on the screen.

In the past couple years ago, we can access to an internet banking via mobile phone, but from now on we are likely commit fundamental financial transaction on our own credit card. I think this is such fast-moving technology.  We do not need another gadget to facilitate us accessing to online banking. I cannot imagine how easy we can log in online banking at one time like one-stop service.  As a matter of safety is concerned, if the card holder is robbed and threatened to tell the password, the robber also can easily get into the account. For this reason, it seems that using traditional token to access the online banking is much safer. This is because we will never keep to username and the token at the same place.
