"The Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar" by Nattawan, from the book I get English, tells the story of the pagoda
called Shwedagon. It is considered a very sacred Buddhist architecture. This pagoda is located in the city which was one the capital of the country - Yangon. The pagoda was build by the King Ukkalapa to house
the hairs of the Lord Buddha. The Shwedagon Pagoda glitters with more than 20,000 gold bars and the upper area of the pagoda is decorated with more than 5,000 diamonds and more than 2,300 of other precious gems like ruby and sapphire. At the highest point, it is also decorated by 76-carat diamond. Furthermore, according to the Lanna belief, it is the pagoda to whice those born under the sign of Horse should pay their homage.
I think our neighbour - Myanmar is the country that have many fascinating places to travel. Due to their believing in Buddha, we're having some similar culture. It will be great if I have a chance to travel there, get the new experiences and learn Myanmar culture.
