Doctor biased against fat people.

Doctors who have negative perceptions of overweight people tend to treat patient not appropriate.
Researchers Janic Sabin,an assistant professor at the university of Washington told that physicians were not likely to be aware of their negative bias and it could affect the treatment.
Sabin and her colleagues tested 360,000 participants and 2284 doctors by using computer test.
They found that male doctors were more biased against fat people than female doctors.
In Australia,the number of overweight people has doubled in 20 years.It reached to 14 million people.

According to the article,I would suggest other people that if they do have problem about overweight,they should visit an overweight doctor or female doctor in order to receive better treatment.
On the other hand,it is very hard to judge that  doctors in another countries will be biased on overweight people because the study did not mention that they tested perception of doctors around the world.Maybe it is true only in USA.Therefore,patients will be the only person who have to take care themselves by changing doctor if they not feel comfortable with.
