Nuclear again!

First time, when I saw this news; I thought that many countries which already have had nuclear power plant concerned and be aware about the natural disasters very much.

According to “South Korea shuts nuclear reactors over unapproved parts”, that article is about South Korea government has shut down their nuclear reactors for comprehensive safety check-up because of the series of malfunction event though they might get power shortages in the next winter.

This news reminds me to think about the unpredictable event that occurred after Japan‘s coast was hit by tsunami on March 11, 2011 and then after that two nuclear power reactors were exploited because of its malfunction. In that time, the generators that should start to generate the electricity when the nuclear reactor lacked of the electricity to operate or shut down its process safely, but it did not work because it was abandoned and had lacked of maintenance. Japanese people tried to decrease the temperature by sending the men who sacrificed them self to solved this problem in dangerous place; however, the result was that the nuclear reactor shield was melted down by the heat from the nuclear reaction.

During that time, many countries sent their rescue teams to help Japanese people and worried about the nuclear radiation from Japan, but the Japanese government said that they appreciated the rescues and they shall request it when they need it. I saw the pictures that news reported Japanese people waited in the line for received necessary things, such as water, foods and clothes. It can represent that Japanese people have a strong disciplined event though it was in during the hard time.

I completely believed that Japanese people always have disciplined and sacrificed, although they were in the hardest trouble time.

  1. According to the disaster in Japan, the nuclear plant caused terrible direct problem to Japanese last. In the near future, our world might meet indirect problem because an avalanche nuclear waste through the ocean. It might slightly spread over the ocean and embed into sea creatures. It might cause deaths or chronic diseases or disasters.
However, I have heard that our country, Thailand, start some nuclear plant to produce electricity in Pattani province. Should we mob to protest this project?
