I could not believe that when I read this news because South Korea is one of the countries of exporting nuclear power plants, and I am worried about some counties which use them. I understand to use nuclear power plants, but I hope all of countries do not use them in the future. First, they are very dangerous power plants when they had an accident. We cannot go to near them because of radioactivity. Therefore, the damage will expand. Second, if terrorists or war's enemies occupied nuclear power plants, they would get plutonium or uranium. As a result, they might make nuclear bombs. Finally, I am worried about some bombs or airplanes from the sky to nuclear power plants. Maybe, terrorists or war's enemies would target them. If the nuclear power plant exploded, it would be bigger than the atomic bomb of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in World War Ⅱ. For these reasons, a few years later, I expect that all of nuclear power plants disappear and natural power plants such as water-power generation, wind generation and solar-electric power generation increase.

Mori, I thought that the nuclear power plant is only one way to generate the electricity clearly, but it need a strong disciplined to take care it and it is worth to use its.

DeleteI think any country considers to use nuclear power plant has to trade-off between cost and benefit of using it. One main benefit of using the nuclear power plant is that it has a high capacity of generating electricity. Since the world electricity consumption has been increasing over the year, nuclear power will serve the increasing demand. Then, a safety concern arises. There must be a strong control over the use of nuclear source since it has a great impact on people and environment.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the nuclear power plant reminds me of an accident occurred 26 years ago in USSR, the Chernobyl disaster. The explosion of this power plant emitted radioactive contamination into the atmosphere over Europe. Even though this situation happened twenties years ago, the area around the power plant has been forbidden by the government because it cannot be assured that there was no residual radioactive contamination in the atmosphere.
