Fast-food breakfasts make your blood vessels unhappy

Researchers at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta in canada claimed that intaking one high fat breakfast sandwich has sudden ill-effect on cardiovascular system.
The study measured the Velocity Time Integral(VTI) which tells us how much blood flow people can get in their arms.
They tested with the group of healthy,non-smoking students when they had no breakfast a day and they ate two sandwiches for breakfast a day.They found that two hours after having high fat sandwiches for breakfast,the students' VTI had decreased by 15 - 20 percent.Moreover,Skipping breakfast can bring about gaining weight.
Nutritionist Scanna Mcmillian recommended healthy breakfast should consist of poached eggs,whole gain toast,lean bacon,grilled tomato,avocado,spinach and mushrooms.

Although we already know that eating fast food brings about only disadvantages,sometimes we ignore the drawbacks especially,myself.
For example,in the morning I always have sandwich for breakfast because I did not have time to cook.My sandwich consisted of cheese,ham, and bacon which have high fat.
After I read this Article,it provided me a lot of knowledge.Not only eating fast food can cause obesity but also leads to problem about blood vessels.Hence,I need to change my eating habits by eating more vegetables and using low fat materials to make sandwich.

  1. I like to eat at fast food shop very much. I think sandwiches are good for your health more than hamburgers. However, I agree with you, it's very important what in it is. I think mayonnaise is not good for our health because of oily and fat.

  2. I normally have a sanwich as my breakfast too because it does not take to prepare and eat. However, I may have to think abount the ingredients of my sanwich whether it is healthy or not.
