In today’s world, technology facilitates us to do many
things in our daily lives. It helps us to do a simple thing like switching a TV
channel by using a remote control to a difficult thing like processing some
formulas. It makes us to lead our lives easily, quickly, and efficiently.
The BBC Technology article “New Mastercard has LCD screen
and keyboard” reports that Mastercard and Standard Chartered Bank collaborated
in launching a new mastercard having LCD screen and keyboard, which is used to
create one-time password, in Singapore. However, it will be available from January
2013 before distributing globally. It is regarded as more secure than the existing
card. In the future, the card will be developed to show basic information such
as credit limit, credit balance, and cumulative point on the screen.
In the past couple years ago, we can access to an internet
banking via mobile phone, but from now on we are likely commit fundamental financial
transaction on our own credit card. I think this is such fast-moving technology.
We do not need another gadget to
facilitate us accessing to online banking. I cannot imagine how easy we can log
in online banking at one time like one-stop service. As a matter of safety is concerned, if the
card holder is robbed and threatened to tell the password, the robber also can
easily get into the account. For this reason, it seems that using traditional token
to access the online banking is much safer. This is because we will never keep
to username and the token at the same place.

I completely agree with using the two factor authentication to identify and authenticate your identity before using the service on the internet because it is more secure and user can not deny their action.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you too. It seems more dengerous than the exsiting cards. But also I'm interested in new card. I think it is better to use this technology for other thing.
