Making Peace Process on Social Medias

As Twitter war rages, #stoptheterror Instagrams aim to wage peace

CNN’s articleAs Twitter war rages, #stoptheterror Instagrams aim to wage peace reported that one Israeli man, Ido Simyoni, decided to take matters to social media in order to get a cease-fire between Israel and militants in Gaza. He decided to start a project by asking people to post their images on photo-sharing service of Instagram application and tag them #stoptheterror. People who wanted to join this project have to write down the word “Stop” or “Stop the terror” on their hand and take the photo. More than 5,000 photos were posted on the Instagram since last Monday.

According to my point of view, this story is very interesting for me. I think that there are many ways for us to make peace happen. We just use social media in the right way. It’s a great thing that everyone can do in order to help other people who suffer from the violence from the civil war.
