From the New York Times " Storm Leaves Lady Liberty and Ellis Island Cut Off From Visitors ",reported that Sandy storm didn't attack the Statue of Liberty but significant damages went to the infrastructure of Liberty Island and Ellis Island. The storm actually hit a day after reopening of yearlong renovation and the damage to the islands was much more severe than expected including the mechanical system, electricity on Liberty Island were
not functioning after the basement of the building that houses a cafe and
gift shop flooded. The team is helping to clean up all of the national park sites in and around New York City, almost all of them remain closed so that New York City especially the Liberty Island will be back as the most-visited site again.

I feel very sorry for Newyorker. I love New York City and all of these islands,Manhattan the Liberty Island and the Ellis Island, as I have ever been there 2 times.New York City is so gorgeous and attractive.Everything there gave me a lot of happiness, skycrappers universities foods and people.I just wish that they will be back soon and make a good memories to everyone who come to visit there.
I love NYC too. I can't imagine how the New Yorker live during the blackout week because I think that NYC is a city that never sleeps. I really enjoy light and sound there.
