Train or Car in Thailand

According to “Toyota to sharply expand output in Thailand”, Toyota is the largest sales automaker in Thailand, and the current annual output capacity is 670,000 units per year. The near future, the corporation is going to increase annual output capacity more than 1,000,000.

I often see Toyota cars, so I think that the car plants are a lot in Thailand. This announcement shows that Thailand is going to be the largest output capacity country in Asia except Japan (TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION WEB SITE). However, I hope that quantity of car is not increased in Thailand, especially in Bangkok. In my opinion, I hope train factories than car factories in Thailand, and I want Thailand to become central train factories in Southeast Asia or Asia continent. Moreover, I hope that the infrastructure of traffic is improved in Bangkok by trains. Finally, in the future I wish that international bullet trains are made from Thai train factories.

Toyota to sharply expand output in Thailand

Toyota Motor says it will sharply boost its vehicle production in Thailand which will become the company's core global output base. Toyota President Akio Toyoda made the announcement at a ceremony in Bangkok on Thursday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the firm's Thai unit. Toyoda said the experience of overcoming last year's flooding in Thailand will lead to the creation of a strong production system. He added that his company will increase its annual output capacity in Thailand to one million units. That's about 1.5 times more than the current level of 670,000 units per year. Toyota is the largest automaker in Thailand in terms of sales. The company is selling vehicles assembled in its 3 plants in the country. Toyota is also exporting them to over 100 countries, including other Southeast Asian nations.

  2. I am the big fan of Toyota, my first car in my life is also Toyota.
According to the news, it will help Thailand a lot for the people who just graduate and begin into the job market. Toyota's intention to expand output capacity will increas many job positions for new graduates.
However, I think that the increasing of Toyota' cars productions is come from the thai government , First Car Policy, that reduce the tariff. Many people made a decision to buy their new cars, Thailand is going to face with traffic jam problem soon.

  3. Traffic is too bad in Bangkok. At first, I want the owners to have or lent their own parking in their house or apartment. They are a lot of cars on public spaces.
Anyway, I want to buy Tuk Tuk. I love it!!
